Surety Bonds for California Contractors

License, bid, performance, and payment bonds that keep your contractor's license active and your projects moving.

Types of Bonds We Write

Contractor License Bond

California contractors must post a contractor license bond with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) to obtain or renew a license. The required amount is set by state law, and we can get your bond issued quickly.

Bid Bond

Guarantees that you'll enter into the contract if you win a bid, and provides the owner with recourse if you don't.

Performance Bond

Guarantees that the project will be completed according to the contract terms. Common on public and large private projects.

Payment Bond

Guarantees that subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers are paid, protecting the owner and reducing lien exposure.

Bonds are not insurance. A surety bond is a three-party guarantee. If the bond is paid out on a claim, the contractor is generally required to reimburse the surety, so underwriting focuses on your financial strength and experience.
